This is THE bed if you have back problems, amazing!!!, November 10, 2010 This review is from: King Sealy Embody Prophecy Mattress Set (Kitchen) I read the other review. I will be honest, the first week my husband and I also suffered from the previously mentioned shoulder pain...I will tell you my therory on this. 1. I have not slept all night in the same position in the last three years. From the night we got this, I would fall asleep in one position and wake up at 5am in exact same place. 2. Everyone will tell you that it will take up to a month to get used to...it did not take this long for us, but, I think it is because your back is going back in to alignment. If you think about sleeping in a normal mattress, your abdomen falls into the lowest position, throwing you out of whack.
So, onto mattress, my experiences, and why I have basically become a Sealy walking billboard. I have two torn lumbar disks. Trying to avoid recommended fusion surgery. Can't sleep at all at night, and haven't been for last three years. I take multiple meds to sleep at night to NO avail, wake up at 1 and never fall back to sleep. Would... Read more

I returned the original mattress and bought the Prophecy. The sensation of sinking into the mattress, and the over all comfort is unmatched. Great mattress.

set, we have not experienced hip, shoulder, or back pain. (We were both having all three of these with our previous interspring set.) I (female) did feel a little hot the first two nights I slept on the bed, but realizing I did not need to wrap up in my comforter to stay warm cured that right away. My husband never had a problem and he often feels warm while he sleepts. Right out of the bag, the first night, it did smell a little chemically. However, after the first night it was no longer noticeable. We too were concerned about firmness. When you first lay on the bed (1 minute) it feel firm, once it conforms to your body it provides suppprt in all the right places. I am 140 lbs. my husband is 230 lbs. We both would buy another one, and recommend to all.
